Nanashi smiled halfheartedly as he entered the cave, "I don't see why you'd think that. I've got nowhere else to go." He said, shrugging as he walked to the wall opposite the girl and sat down, " You should be sitting, don't want to add pressure to your leg so soon." Nanashi told her.

OOC: Some of these posts aren't exactly showing up. I'm trying to fix it, but, since I really have no knowledge of forum coding and stuff, I'll just have to contact Proboards Support. ^-^ But it's okay, since I highly doubt anyone's even reading this. XP
Instead of taking Nanashi's advice and sitting down, Virginia hugged the older man again, a blissful smile on her face. "Well, plenty of people have left me behind before, Nanashi, so I have reason to think that." she murmured, her arms wrapping around Nanashi's neck. When she realized what she was doing, she quickly backed away slightly, releasing the older man as her cheeks reddened. "S-sorry..."

Nanashi was taken back, a look of surprise and confusion on his face when he was hugged by Virginia. After she quickly let him go, he only stared at her, unsure of what to say. After a moment, he sighed and glanced away from the girl, looking back at the rain, "It's fine." He said simply, his emotions returning to their norm.

OOC: If you want to timeskip, it's fine, Ani-san! I just don't know what to timeskip to. XD Maybe the next morning?
Virginia's cheeks were now burning with embarrassment as she sat back down, her eyes darting around the small cave, focusing on anything except Nanashi. "I... I know I'm sort of an awkward person. I wasn't around other people very often as a child." she finally mumbled, breaking the silence. "I understand if you don't want to help me anymore..."

Nanashi glanced sideways at the girl, but paid little attention to her rambling. He sighed, and pulled his coat tightly around himself before he ducked his head down, closing his eyes, "Just go to sleep. We'll continue tomorrow." He told the girl before he slowly but silently fell asleep.

Virginia had not been able to fall asleep the previous night, her mind leaping from topic to topic: Arashi and Francine, the Legendaries, her own fate, but most of all, the mysterious Nanashi. The rain had stopped sometime in the middle of the night and, now, the sun streaming through the mouth of the cave was what woke Virginia up. Virginia found herself on the opposite side of the cave from Nanashi, facing the wall. She blinked a few time to clear her mind and slowly got to her feet.

Nanashi was sleeping calmly, without any trouble or seeming disturbance on his face. He was sitting up, his back against he wall, while his arms were set in his lap. His head was laying against his shoulder, and as Virginia woke up, and stood up, Nanashi remained asleep, tired from the previous day.

Virginia smiled when she saw Nanashi, blissfully leaning against the cave wall as he slumbered on. Tentatively, the girl shuffled over, putting one hand on Nanashi's left shoulder and gently shaking him to wake him up. "Nanashi, wake up! We have to keep moving!" she mumbled softly. "Nanashi!"

Nanashi woke up slowly, but he woke up none the less. Opening his eye's slowly, he looked up at Virginia's smiling face, "...Morning..." He muttered quietly, glancing outside the cave at the dry grass, and smiling when he noticed the sunlight, "Ahh...looks like a great day today..." Nanashi said, obviously still half asleep.

Virginia stifled a giggle at Nanashi's words, noticing that he was still half-asleep. Shaking him again, she said, "C'mon, wake up, you big baby!" A teasing smile was on her face as she summoned a small ball of cold water and tossed it at the older man. "Wake up, Nanashi!"

Nanashi had been about to fall back asleep when he felt water splashing against his face. His eye's widening, Nanashi flinched, having not expected the water, and he woke up very quickly, "Alright. I'm up, I'm up, no more water." He pleaded, glancing up at the girl.

Virginia stuck her tongue out at Nanashi, forgetting for a moment the urgency of getting away from the other Team Eternity grunts, as she summoned another ball of water. However, the reality of the situation soon returned and her face fell. "Um, we need to leave as soon as possible. Whenever you're ready, I guess..." she mumbled.

It took Nanashi a moment to understand what Virginia was saying, but when he did, his eye's seemed to narrow and he stood up from the ground, "You're right. We need to at least get to a town or one of the smaller villages before we can relax." Nanashi said, grabbing his sword and looping the strap over his shoulder so that the sword lay in its sheath across his back, "Once we're there, I can take another look at your leg, make sure that nothing worse is on the way." He said, glancing at Virginia's leg where she had been shot. Making his way to the cave entrance, he glanced back at the girl, "Ready to go?" He asked, giving a halfhearted smile, not realizing that there was a Team Eternity Grunt making his way into the clearing quietly, a gun in his hand.

Virginia had just began to nod when she noticed a flicker of movement from behind Nanashi. "Na-" she began. Her eyes widened when she noticed exactly what, or rather, who it was. A Team Eternity grunt holding a gun. Not waiting for anything else to happen, she lobbed the ball of water still in her palms straight at him, before summoning a small wave of water and sending it at the grunt.

Nanashi's sword had come out from its sheath even before he realized just what was happening. Spinning on his heal, he identified the man sneaking up on him and Virginia, and his eye's widened. Halfway through the spin, Nanashi sliced through the ball of water, and his gun began to retract to its gun form as he aimed at the wave, shooting it dead on and dispersing the water, whilst running in the direction of the Grunt, who was wide eyed and staring at Nanashi, "Admi-" He didn't get to finish as Nanashi punched him in the gut with his gun before spinning around and whipping him on the neck with the gun, sending the man slamming into the ground with a force that made him bounce upon impact. Nanashi bit his lip, and glanced at Virginia, "Sorry about that, I didn't need you hurting him..." Nanashi told her, before he looked around quickly, "We need to get moving, where there's one, there's more." He said in a rushed voice, before he began walking towards the trees, headed north, while his hand stayed firm around his gun.

Virginia's eyes narrowed ever so slightly. "I... I don't want to get you into trouble... Maybe I should just leave by myself..." she murmured, her right hand flying to her waist, where her sword, as well as its sheath, hung. Her hand rested on the hilt for a moment and she glanced at Nanashi uncertainly. "L-let's go..." she muttered before pushing past Nanashi.

Nanashi frowned as he turned to watch Virginia. He was quiet for a moment before he finally spoke up, "How's your leg feeling?" He asked, not moving from where he was, "If it's feeling better, maybe it'd be smart to part ways now instead of continuing on together." He said, somewhat coldly, "Wouldn't you agree...I mean, there's no point in us continuing together after all." He told her, his hands out at his sides.

Hearing the coldness in Nanashi's voice, Virginia whirled around to stare at him. Regaining her composure quickly, she snapped back, "Yes, my leg is feeling much better. I suppose I'll go now, since you're so eager to get rid of me. I hope you're not going to be in too much trouble if you go back to your headquarters now. Good luck." Not waiting for a reply, she began heading into the woods, pain shooting up her leg at every step.

Nanashi was silent as he watched Virginia walk away, unmoving. He eventually turned around and began walking back towards the man he had knocked out. Grabbing the grunt by the scuff of his shirt, he began walking in the opposite of Virginia, his gunblade out at his side, "...Good luck..." He muttered under his breath, his eye's seemingly clear and resolute, even though he was already beginning to hurt deep down.

A slow tear trickled down the Keldeo Communicator's face as she walked away. I will not cry... I will not look back... I will not show him that I made the wrong choice... I will not show weakness... As those thoughts shot through her head, her leg began to burn, until the tears streaming down her face were no longer for leaving Nanashi, but rather for the agony in her leg. As she stepped forward again, her leg gave way beneath her as she fell to the ground with a high-pitched gasp.
