Nanashi frowned, shaking his head regrettably, " I'll get you out of here..." He said, before he let go of her and backed up, his face resolute and calm. He grabbed a Pokeball from his belt and released his Zorua, who growled when she saw Virginia, "Zoe, stop." Nanashi told the Pokemon, silencing her, "We're leaving , so I need you to turn into Virgina, get some attention, and lure them west, then meet up with us in the northern most village." He told the Pokemon. Zoey glanced at Virginia before she suddenly transformed into her and ran off suddenly. Nanashi watched the Pokemon before he turned back to Virginia, picking her sword up and setting and arm around the girl's waist to help her walk, "We need to go." He said, his tone almost fearful.

"Th-thank you, Nanashi." Virginia whispered, letting out a small sigh of relief. She honestly didn't know why she was trusting Nanashi or why she wasn't dead, lying in a pool of blood yet. "We can head to Shiver Camp, but the scientists there would be extremely suspicious of us. Or, we could head to Boyleland and I can try to contact Arashi and Francine to figure out where they are." she mumbled, her heart pounding fiercely.

Nanashi nodded as he kept his arm around Viginia's waist, not letting her go as he half-carried her through the forest, heading in the opposite directions of the shouts coming from many of the Grunt's that had seen Zoey, "The faster we can get you to your friends, the better. Once we're far enough, I'll take a look at your injury and dress it..." He said, his voice calm as he stared ahead, "Once we find your friends, you can go with them." He told her, "You'll be...safer..." He added, uncertainly.

"And you're going to come along with us too." Virginia shot back, her voice rid of all weakness. Her tone, combined with the glare she shot in Nanashi's direction, was enough to convince any normal man that arguing would get him nowhere. "You will come with us, because it will be the only way for you to stay safe..." Virginia ordered, before hesitating for a few moments and continuing in a softer voice, "And stay alive, too. I... I'd never be able to live with myself if I knew that I had somehow caused your death."

Nanashi frowned slightly, glancing sideways at the girl just in time to catch a glare from her before he looked ahead again, "...Maybe, just maybe, I'll try to stay with you all for a while." He offered, "But I can't make any promises to you." He said lowly. Nanashi glanced upwards, and frowned, "It's going to rain soon, and we're probably going to be stuck in it if we don't find some shelter...we'll keep moving, but if you see a cave or some heavy layered brush...tell me." He said, not noting towns since he knew they were nowhere near one aside from the one burning behind them.

Virginia sighed quietly, visibly annoyed with Nanashi. "I know this isn't the time, but I swear that I will find some way to make you stay with us..." she muttered under her breath. Following Nanashi's example and glancing up at the sky, Virginia bit her lip when she saw the clouds, heavy with water droplets. "I can probably keep the rain away from us for a little bit, but not too long." she whispered. Her eyes scanned the area for any form of shelter. There was nothing. "We'll have to go faster... I'm sorry for being such a burden, Nanashi."

Nanashi frowned, but nodded as he trudged along, ignoring her comment about finding a way to stay with her, "Don't worry about being a burden, just keep your eyes peeled for shelter..." He said, determination in his voice. He was fighting himself internally though, unsure as to why he was helping someone he should have been watching be cut apart, writhing on a table with her skin cut open. Nanashi frowned further and shook the thoughts from his head, squeezing his eyes shut tightly before opening them again, looking around for any place to take shelter as a drizzle started about himself and Virginia.

Virginia closed her eyes in concentration, willing the raindrops away from her and Nanashi. Almost as if she could tell that Nanashi was having second thoughts, her thoughts drifted, too. Why was Nanashi even helping her? Her eyes popped open, right as she saw Nanashi squeezing his eyes shut. She blinked at him with concern. "Nanashi, are you alright?" she asked. Then, acting on an impulse, she asked again, "Nanashi... c-can you tell me why you're helping me? Please?" Virginia didn't know why, but she was scared of his reply.

Nanashi glanced down at Virginia as she spoke, asking him questions that made him feel a little less than 'alright'. He frowned, looking ahead again before he answered, "I'm fine...just tired." He said quietly before he glanced sideways at the girl again, "...I'm helping you because you don't need to die...and because I don't want to see you pulled apart just because you're special..." He said, before looking away from her, his eyes narrowing as he noticed something up ahead, "There's a cave just up ahead." He said, pointing it out, "We can stop and rest there for awhile, we should be far enough from the city by now." He said, knowing that he was probably wrong.

Virginia nodded, her mind spinning. "Sure, let's head over there..." she murmured, before she continued questioning Nanashi about his motives. "And, why don't you want to see me die? Why don't you think I need to die? I thought all Team Eternity grunts were under the impression that the Legendaries and anything that has to do with them are bad... Right?" she murmured, "I mean, I... I trust you, but I just don't want you to have 'saved' me, just to have brought me to some greater doom. It's happened before..." Virginia could feel her head spinning as she struggled to hold the water droplets away from herself and Nanashi.

Nanashi frowned as Virginia continued questioning him, and the moment they were inside of the came and away from the rain, he turned to face the girl and set his hands firmly on her shoulders, "I'm not a grunt...I'm much more than a grunt, I can think for myself, go against orders, do what I want...but with limitations..." Nanashi said, looking the girl dead in the eyes, before he frowned, "And I don't...I just don't want you to die...I wouldn't be able to let you die if I knew that I was the reason..." Nanashi said, trailing off slightly.

Virginia nodded. "Well, I know that you're an admin, but wouldn't you have the same mindset as the others?" she asked. Hearing Nanashi's second answer, she smiled sympathetically, before grabbing the older man in a tight hug. Once she realized what she was doing, though, she immediately jolted backwards, her cheeks reddening. "I'm sorry... I-I didn't mean to do that..." she murmured, obviously embarrassed. "I... really shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" she exclaimed, backing away.

Nanashi shook his head, "No, there's no way I'd think like everyone else." He said, just before the girl suddenly hugged him. Nanashi's eyes widened, but just when he was about to unfreeze and hug the girl back, he began backing up. He watched her for a moment before he smiled, "Thank you." He said, before he blushed, "For the hug...I think I needed that...I think I've needed that for a long time." He said, before he sighed, "Now why don't you sit down so I can have a look at that wound of yours." He said, feeling bad for what had happened to the girl.

Virginia smiled shyly at Nanashi, "No, thank you for getting me out of there." When she was with Nanashi, it was like she forgot about the pain her injury, but now that she was reminded, the pain returned with fiery intensity, her leg crumpling beneath her, as she gasped softly in pain. "Th-that hurt..." she whispered.

Nanashi moved forward to catch Virginia just before she fell, and chuckled, though in a worried manner, as he helped the girl to the ground, pulling a small first aid kit from his jacket, "I'm surprised you made it so far without collapsing sooner." He said, trying to lighten the mood as he pulled out thread, tweezers, scissors, and a few other things, worry working into his face, "I'm going to give you a heads up now, I don't have any medicine...so this might hurt...a lot." He warned the girl, looking from her wound back up to her.

"I'll be fine." Virginia murmured. ~Timeskip to After Dressing Virginia's Wound~ Virginia was panting softly, as if she had just run a long distance, when Nanashi finally finished dressing her wound. It had hurt quite a bit, but now, it felt a lot better. "Th-thank you, Nanashi..." she murmured, feeling compelled to hug him again. It was too soon, though, and she didn't want to fluster Nanashi any more than she already had. "Y-you really don't deserve to die, you know..."

Nanashi had a small frown on his face as he returned some of his medical supplies to where they belonged, while he left out a few other tools that needed to be washed after he had just used them. When Virginia spoke, the man glanced sideways at the girl, "We're not going to talk about that right now. Right now, you need to rest up for a little bit." He said in a commanding tone, "Without medicine, you're probably in a little more pain than you were to begin with, so just lay back for a bit and try to just stay awake, or go to sleep, either one is fine." He told her before he stood up, heading towards the mouth of the cave, "I'm going to go wash off my tools." He said, before disappearing into the rain.

Virginia watched as Nanashi got to his feet and began walking away. A flash went through her mind. What if Nanashi was going to leave her here, alone? "No, Nanashi, wait!" she called, but the Team Eternity admin was gone, leaving Virginia all alone in the cave. She struggled to her feet, using the cave wall for support, her injury sending shoots of pain up her leg. "Nanashi! Please! Don't leave me here alone!" she called. Realizing that her efforts were futile, the Keldeo Communicator slumped back to the ground, her eyes staring at where Nanashi had been just moments before.

Nanashi sighed as he knelt under a tree that was just beside a small stream, a cloth in his hand as he scrubbed away at the equipment that he had used to patch up Virgini'a leg. As he was finishing, he heard a soft buzzing in his ear and he looked up, straight ahead of himself as he realized he was being called, probably by HQ, "N-...Admi-...Na-...shi, do y...copy..." Came the soft buzzing of someones voice. Nanashi sighed, standing up as he set his hand over his ear, "Hear you loud and clear HQ, what's up?" He asked, sounding not at all worried. There was another moment of buzzing before the line seemed to clear up a bit, "Where...re you? We lost you ju-...a little while a-...What happened to the-...isoner?" Came the voice again, in a demanding tone. Nanshi leaned back against the tree behind him, looking down at the scalpel in his hand, "I'm currently in pursuit of the prisoner. Heading east at the moment on foot. I'll contact you when I've got her." He said, "Wait! Don't eng-" Whoever was on the other line didn't have enough time to reply as Nanashi pulled the earpiece from his ear and snapped the cord before he jumbled it up and threw it in the stream.
Nanashi watched the earpiece fizzle in the water as it was electrocuted for a moment before he turned and began walking back in the direction of the cave, setting his medical tools inside his jacket. After a few minutes of walking, Nanashi appeared in the small clearing just outside the cave, walking slowly towards the cave entrance with his hands in his pockets.

Virginia could hear soft footsteps approaching the cave and her eyes widened and she struggled to her feet, her posture relaxing when she saw Nanashi's figure walking back through the rain. A mixture of relief, joy, and something like... love... pulsed through the younger girl's body as she smiled, happy that Nanashi hadn't abandoned her. "Nanashi! I... I thought you left me!" she called.
