Chapter I – The first betrayal.
Amber and Markus were an eighteen year old couple living at Shalour City, they were deeply in love since they were 15, and when they were 17 Amber got pregnant, and surprisingly for a lot of people they were really happy even if they had such a rushed wedding. Unfortunately everything had been a little crazy in the city, the weather had been extremely strange, a lot of storms, typhoons and never ending rain, no one could explain how could that happen in the same year, but everyone gave up on trying to find an explanation and just focused on living.
At the end of February their beautiful baby girl was born, she had pale pink hair and beautiful red eyes, they called her Amethyst, her grandmother Emerald was the one to name her as she remind her of that beautiful stone. The new family was so happy with the baby that they didn't notice the reaction of the rest of the city. Soon everyone at Shalour City knew that a baby with deep red eyes had been born, the elders of the city soon started talking about the baby being the cause of everything wrong with the city and in less than a month the De Fiore family became outcasts, the people they thought were their friends soon abandoned them, everyone talked behind their backs criticizing them… judging them, they thought that baby Amy was some kind of monster, and they blamed everything on her.
The sudden loss of all their friends was a big shock for Markus and Amber, especially for Amber, both started rejecting the newborn, they too blamed their current situation on the innocent Amy, however Amber parents were more understanding, it was impossible that a baby could be the cause of the city’s problems, it was just collective hysteria and it will pass with time. And they were right in less than six months everything was over, there weren't any disasters or weird things happening after Amy's birth but the relationship with the other citizens was never the same. Though some people apologized to the family, they never treated them like they used to. Amber grew to dislike her daughter, because of her she lost everything, Markus and her were supposed to have a happy life but that dream was crushed by her daughter.
Amber was really cold to her daughter, refusing to hug her or show her any kind of affection since she was one month old, on the other side Markus, even if he was more forgiving with the baby, deep inside he resent her for 'ruining' his life. Two years passed and the attitude towards their daughter remained the same the little girl just loved them, she looked for them every second of the day, she just wanted to be with her parents so badly that she never realized the cold way they treated her.
One day they decided to go away… alone, they wanted a fresh start, some place where they could have a normal life, their dream life. They didn't care that Amy would be all alone, they just craved a new life. That morning they said their goodbyes to their parents and lied to Amy “We will be back soon”, that was what they told her but no matter how long the two year old girl waited for them they never came back. She cried in her sleep calling for her parents, every day she asked for them, she wanted to see them, and that broke her grandparents hearts and in an attempt to make her feel better they bought her a pink stuffed bunny, her grandmother Emerald with tears in her eyes told her “Amy, we don't know when Papa and Mama are coming back, so this little fella will accompany you, he will always be there for you” She hugged her tightly, both sobbing. Amy was too smart for such a young age, she understood that they weren't coming back, she hugged her new friend and cried one last night the loss of her parents. Day by day she was getting better, even if she still missed them a lot, she tried to play the strong girl and not show it on her face or her actions, but one thing make obvious that she was still a young frail girl, that bunny never left her side.
