Charm (Angelica Yutaya [Yuki] x Seth Orion [Lady_Jaye])

Seth was sitting in the back of Chemistry, his dark blue eyes trained on the girl sitting in the front row. She was listening intently to the teacher ramble on and on about Lewis structures. Her long hair cascaded down her back in a way that made Seth want to feel its softness between his fingers. Yes, Anna Yutaya was the perfect catch, the famed ice queen of Snowlight High.

Seth was shaken from his thoughts when he felt a tap on his back. The girl behind him shot him a coy look and tilted her head toward his face. "Do you want to meet after class?" she whispered lowly. Seth smirked and twirled his pen in his hand. Maybe a short deviation from the prey wouldn't be such a problem.

Presently, the bell rang, signaling the end of class. Seth quickly packed his things and began to walk toward the door. He walked by Anna's desk and dropped a piece of paper on her desk. Would she take the bait? With that, Seth strolled out of the door, followed closely by the other girl.

Dear Ice Queen,
We've never been properly introduced. Meet me during lunch - you'll know where to find me.

After his fulfilling meeting with the girl from Chemistry, Seth headed toward his locker when the bell rang, signaling the lunch period. Grabbing his sandwich, Seth strolled over toward his regular spot in the corner of the cafeteria. Most people in the school knew to avoid Seth during this time - he took eating quite seriously.

Though he would never admit it, Seth found himself scanning the people, looking for a particular blonde-haired ice queen. The truth was Seth had always found Anna attractive, not only physically but also in the way she held herself. She had a certain presence about herself, like she didn't care how people saw her. It reminded Seth of how he was himself, like they had a something special in each other. He knew that other people saw him as the shallow playboy, that he didn't care about anything other than himself.

But it wasn't true - Seth wanted to do something with his life. Only the school counselor knew, but he had already been accepted to an early enrollment program for a prestigious college. Seth actually made top grades in class, able to remember lectures although he didn't write any notes. But no one would see him as having promise. Maybe he liked it that way, being misunderstood. Or maybe that's why he liked the ice queen so much. Everyone knew that she was going far in life, but she never got an inflated ego. If only she could see him the way he saw her. If only.

As his eyes caught sight of the Ice Queen herself walking over to his lonely table, Seth's lips curled into a slight smirk. This was his chance. "Ah yes, Anna. I was wondering when you'd come around." To be honest, Seth wasn't totally sure that Anna would follow his note. Of course, she had every reason not to trust him - with everything that he had done. There was a glimmer of hope. "I have a proposition for you."

Seth looked at straight into her eyes, mentally preparing himself for what was coming next. "Be my partner for the Biology project." There. He said it.

Everyone knew of the infamous Biology project that their year had to undergo. The entire class had to find partners to hatch a duck egg and raise it. It was supposed to teach them about responsibility, or something like that. With the eggs being passed out next week, Seth knew that he needed to grab Anna, and fast.

And maybe - just maybe - this experience would let Anna see a different side of Seth, a side that he had never showed anyone else.
